Who We Are

Christi Muoneke

Christi is a licensing and transactional attorney with over 17 years of experience negotiating deals and counseling companies. She graduated from Stanford Law School, with Distinction Honors, in 1992, and has practiced in the Seattle area since then.

Her areas of expertise include IP and licensing counseling and transactions, M&A and other strategic alliances, general commercial law and business. Her current clients include Microsoft Corporation, T-Mobile USA, Bank of America and Avanade Inc.

Prior to starting ZLG in 2007, she was a Senior Attorney at Microsoft Corporation for almost 8 years and represented several of the company’s major product groups and business units, including the Windows Client and Windows Emerging Markets Groups, MSN International channels, Strategic Alliances, Business Development and eCommerce.

Prior to Microsoft, Christi served as Associate General Counsel for Multiple Zones International, Inc. (Zones.com), a technology reseller with operations in 29 countries, mostly through acquisitions. Her professional career started in private practice with the Seattle law firms of Perkins Coie and Graham & Dunn, where she practiced M&A, securities, intellectual property and corporate law, and represented a variety of companies in venture financings, mergers, acquisitions and IPOs, and day-to-day business transactions.

ASSOCIATIONS

Christi is admitted to the Washington State Bar Association, and is active in a number of other professional affiliations, including the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), Loren Miller Bar Association (LMBA) and Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC).  She is the co-founder with other members of “Africans at Microsoft” of LeapingZebras.org and LeapForward Foundation, with the goals of enhancing technological resources and accelerating the adoption of leap technologies and outsourcing in Africa.

She has served on the board of directors or on fundraising campaigns on behalf of several Seattle area organizations including LMBA (Board Member), Asian Counseling and Referral Services (Board Member), Big Sisters of King County (Board Member), Technology Access Fund, and Ashesi University Foundation of Ghana.
